Sharing the Cuteness

These are pictures of Ezra at Caleb’s 6 year birthday party. He was just so cute that I had to include them. Of course he is always cute but I can’t add in all the pictures that I take of my kids as there are too many. So here are a few

Strawberries, Strawberries, Strawberries

This summer we went to pick strawberries as has become our tradition. Ezra is not so sure about strawberries as far as eating them but he had a good time picking them. He would run back and forth in the rows between Dustin and I as well as picking a few here and there. He did not want to partake of any of them which was fine with me as long as he didn’t throw the ones that we had picked out of out baskets. We also picked raspberries that day. I think he had more fun doing that. There was a women on the other side of our row picking strawberries and he made a friend in her. He had fun talking to her and showing her what he picked. He also loved walking around in the mud. It was not too muddy but just enough to be fun for a a 2 year old.

Playing outside

Ezra loves to be outside. He really does not care how cold, hot, wet, or windy it is he just loves to be outside. Of course when it is nice outside he loves it even more. This year we found him a scooter at a garage sale. That made it even better to be outside. Of course he then decided he liked Caleb’s scooter better but at least we had 2 and they could take turns. He loves riding the scooter! He loves riding his bike too. We found him a new bike this year too. Maybe it is just about anything with wheels. Anyway I am convinced he would be riding his bike by himself by now (saying this in January) if we had a flat driveway for him to practice on. We are going to try to get our garage cleared out a bit so that this winter the boys can ride in the garage while the weather is so wet.  I am sure that Ezra would love it! He may be riding by summer then, I will let you know.

Super Heros!

Today was a super hero day for the boys. It was Caleb who started it but Ezra got into the fun right away. We made do on a cape and then had to make masks for the boys. It was so cute! I had to share the pictures. What a precious time!

Making Cookies

Last week I made cookies. Ezra decided that he wanted to help. He has not helped in the kitchen much other than helping me dump things that I have measured into a bowl. so this was kind of new for him. He thought it was fantastic. Actually what happened is that I put the stick of butter out on the table by the bowl. I then went to get something else. When I turned around again he had the butter in his hand and was trying to open it. Which he finally did.  I had fun watching him and he had fun unwrapping. As you can see he was very proud of himself.

Car Wash

A few weekends ago we had some amazing weather and were all outside. Dustin was washing the car and so the boys wanted to wash their stuff too. Caleb has done this for the last few years with Dustin. For Ezra however this was a first. He had a blast and cleaned everything he could. He was of course soaking wet by the time he was done but at least everything was clean. It is so much fun to watch all my boys doing things together.

Big Boy Bed

Ezra is now in a Big Boy Bed. He has actually been in it for about a month now. he has done really good at staying in his bed when he is supposed to. We waited a while to make the switch because in the mornings he would sit in his bed for up to an hour and play. He is an early riser like his brother. So when he would wake up before 7 I would leave him in his bed and let him read the books that I had left in there for him. I was concerned that when we switched him to the big boy bed that he would not do so well at that. However after about two days he got it and has since stayed in his bed until I go in to get him. He loves his new bed. For the first two days he kept say ‘moo bed’ and taking us in there to see it. Anyone that came over had to see it and if there was no one to see it then he would just go sit in his bed and play. It was really so cute! He still loves his new bed though some of the novelty has worn off.

First Time at the Tide-Pools

At the end of April Caleb’s class had a field trip to Edmonds beach.  I of course wanted to go and so that meant Ezra got to go too. It was a great day for us to go. The weather was great and water was very far out. Ezra was not sure about the whole thing and stuck close to me most of the time. He did however love seeing the starfish, crabs and huge rocks. Oh and walking in the water. Though the places where it was moving he got a little freaked out but there was not enough water to be an issue. He actually got out of there without being soaking wet. I figured both the boys would be wet at least from their waist down. However Ezra was not that adventurous this time. He had a good time.
